Divorcing is an emotional rollercoaster of various emotions ranging from trying to understanding how something so perfect could have broken down right in front of your eyes and you never saw it coming, feeling like a failure, experiencing lots of rejection and often relief as well as how your self-identity changes and not feeling like it is possible to trust anyone. These are all questions that people struggle with in understanding divorce. As much as divorce is seen as a failure, it is also a time of new beginning with a wide range of possibilities. Therapy after divorce is highly beneficial to process, understand and work through ones ‘emotional baggage’ allowing one to move forward.

Special Interests

  • divorce difficulties
  • relationship communication therapy
  • emotional difficulties
  • Individual psychotherapy
  • depression & anxiety
  • bereavement & grief
  • behavioural difficulties: identifying and working through the difficulties with children thus increasing their feelings of control and empowerment
  • eating disorders
  • trauma (hi-jacking, burglary, etc)
  • Adjustment Issues
  • I work with adolescents experiencing difficulties in emotional changes and peer pressure in their ever changing world
  • hypnotherapy

I have completed my PhD focusing on Pre-marital communications training: a one year follow-up. Due to the success and popularity, the training has been converted into workshops open to all couples (married, co-habiting, dating, all religious and both heterosexual and homosexual relationships).

Trauma counselling is vitally important after experiencing a traumatic event to minimise further negative impact on your life.

I am also SHL- OPQ trained; able to conduct assessment for people/companies dealing with recruiting and employee development.
